Dhulikhel is next hiking site near by city which is 32km from Kathmandu. Like Nagarkot Dhulikhel is also popular for sunrise view and panoramic view of world highest peak Mt. Everest and many others peak above 8000 meters. Nagarkot is a single day hiking from Kathmandu whereas Nagarkot Dhulikhel hiking is three days hiking. Nagarkot hiking starts from Sankhu a small historic and cultural town lies east from Kathmandu city.
Dhulikhel (1440m) is a small and beautiful hill town which is almost dominated by newari culture, art and tradition. This is a gateway of Tibet. The aged part of the town preserved traditional fine arts which seem in old house and temples.
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02 : After Breakfast drive to Sankhu a small town for 40 minutes by tourist vehicle. Hike 4 hours from Sankhu to Nagarkot, welcome drink from hotel, then lunch. Rest at hotel for an hour then go for Nagarkot village walk.
Day 03 : Wake up early in the morning to view sunrise from Nagarkot tower and magnificent Himalayan range. After breakfast hike to Dhulikhel through the terraces fields and local villages.
Day 04 : Hike to the Dhulikhel viewpoint to view spectacular Himalayan range and sunrise. After breakfast wander the traditional market of Dhulikhel and drive back to Kathmandu.
